Zest, The Club, Review

Situated in The Club, Abu Dhabi’s most popular private members club, Zest offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Aiming to provide guests with healthy dining options, Zest offers a wide selection of freshly squeezed juices, nutritional shakes and healthy meals.

The menu is divided into eight sections, ranging from organic and freshly blended drinks, breakfast, gluten free, soups and salads, sandwiches and meals to wraps and sweet treats. The menu has been designed to be light and healthy, whilst still deliciously tasty and satisfying.

Zest has a selection of indoor or outdoor terrace seating. The décor is relaxed and comfortable making it the perfect place to unwind and catch up with friends. Zest also offers a to go service whereby guests can place their order before their work out and pick it up before they leave.

We decide to sit inside as the outdoor terrace is already bustling with diners enjoying a light lunch. As we enter Zest we are warmly greeted by the manager. Friendly and energetic he informs us of the specials and recommends we start with a blended mocktail.

The mocktails sound amazing. We opt to try the strawberry fields and the green detox. The strawberry fields includes fresh strawberries, chilled pineapple, fresh mango juice, honey and crushed ice cubes served with a strawberry on top. Slightly sweet the strawberry fields is delicious. The green detox includes baby spinach, celery, cucumber, ginger, coconut water, fresh pineapple juice and is served with a celery stick. Both mocktails are served in traditional milk bottles offering us the perfect photo opportunity.

As we browse through the menu it becomes even more difficult to make our selection, everything sounds delicious, plus it’s healthy so we can enjoy a guilt free lunch!

Finally we select two dishes from the salad menu. Both salads arrive well presented in two large purple dishes. The Thai beef salad with crushed peanuts is light and fresh. Instead of noodles the chef has used bean sprouts cutting out the calories and adding additional texture to the dish. At AED 32 this is great value for money. My colleague opts for one of the newer salads on the menu, the white bean salad, consisting of pumpkin, feta, baby spinach, avocado, white beans with balsamic dressing, this salad is light yet full of flavour and at AED 25 this dish is worth every dirham. Both dishes offer a large serving at a great price point ensuring that you will leave feeling full.

To conclude our experience at Zest we enjoy a selection of herbal teas. The rose with French vanilla is our favourite, rich and sweet this is the perfect end to our experience at Zest.

Zest offers a good range of food and beverage options from breakfast, wraps, on the go, to gluten free. Beverages range from freshly blended mocktails, organic drinks to fresh fruit juices.

Overall we really enjoyed our experience at Zest. If you’ve started your diet this January we would highly recommend Zest. The menu is healthy yet tasty and the mocktails are a must try!
