The Lobster Lounge Launches – Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi’s luxury beach destination, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort, kicks of 2021 in grand style with the roll out of new food and beverage experiences across the resort, along with the appointment of a new Executive Chef. From The much-loved property is prepared to deliver a bold and unique take on social dining with a creative and innovative flair.

Reiner Lupfer, the new Executive Chef in charge of Food and Beverage at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort boasts a culinary degree from the Claude Dornier Hotel Management & Culinary Institute of Germany and over 25 years of experience.

His professional vigour and culinary creativity has seen him through impressive positions at some of the world’s leading hotels and restaurants as well as several world class accolades. At the young age of 23, he was awarded 1-Michelin Star and 16 points in the Guild Gault Millau during his tenure at Heinzler, Germany.

The Lobster Lounge is the first of several new additions implemented by Chef Reiner. Located on the rooftop, the all-new pop-up concept is outfitted with cool and effortless décor that brings an exceptional, dramatic feel to the resort’s bustling setting and promises dramatic views of the Arabian ocean.

Offering an exceptional selection of dishes, coupled with the perfect beverage pairings, the menu bursts with incredible flavour and assures an unforgettable culinary experience, from a classic Frito Misto including Lobster, Squid and Prawns served with homemade chips and aioli to a heart-warming Lobster Risotto complimented by parmesan cloud, fresh basil and topped with confit salmon. The Lobster Lounge will also host a range of signature dishes led by the Langoustine Gnocchi Sardi with a tomato confit as well as Trofie Manchego served with French basil pesto, stewed cherry tomato, espelette chilli and balsamic.

Open from 4.30pm to 12.30am from Wednesdays to Mondays, The Lobster Lounge is the perfect spot in Abu Dhabi for sundowners and for a relaxed evening with friends. Complete with beautifully crafted beverages made by skilled mixologists and accompanied by laidback lounge music, The Lobster Lounge is set to become the city’s new go-to destination.
