NOÉPE, Picturesque Dining – Review – Dubai

If you are looking for a great option to dine al fresco let NOÉPE transport you to Cape Cod. One of the most picturesque dining spots in Dubai, NOÉPE offers panoramic views of the Dubai Creek with the city skyline as its backdrop.

Located at Park Hyatt Dubai, the space offers a few seats indoor, but NOÉPE is predominately an outdoor dining venue. The décor is light, with elements of coral tones, ropes, wood and shells, reminiscent of a beautiful summer lake house. NOÉPE is designed to be light and breezy, creating a relaxed yet refined environment.

It is about 1.00pm in the afternoon when we arrive at NOÉPE and the restaurant is already bustling with guests, mostly sitting outside, with safe social distancing measures in place. We opt for a table at the far corner of the spanning decking, allowing us to indulge in the aquatic scenery.

The menu is presented to us, dishes take inspiration from Californian and Nikkei cuisines, NOÉPE also offers a creative beverage selection for those interested. Whilst we look over the menu, we order a plate of the Olives Marine. We make our selection and take a moment to enjoy the scenery.

From the East Coast inspired cuisine section of the menu, we opt for the NOÉPE Lobster Charcoal Bun, Boston Lobster, Avocado, Heirloom Tomato and Gochujang Mayonnaise. Our favourite dish, the Lobster is thick and plentiful, with the Charcoal Bun accentuating the dishes flavour.

The Seafood Fritters consist of Prawns, Sea Bass, Green Padrone Peppers and Mushrooms with a side of Wasabi Aioli. The thick wholesome Prawns are divine, and we like how chef has presented the Sea Bass. The Fritters are crisp to the bite and do not leave a greasy aftertaste.

From the Japanese inspired cuisine section of the menu, we opt for the Miso Marinated Halibut with Edamame, Shitake Mushroom and Black Garlic alongside the Dragon Maki with Prawn Tempura, Teriyaki Sauce and Japanese Mayonnaise. The Miso Marinated Halibut ticks all the boxes, texture, flavour, and presentation are all sublime. The Dragon Maki also does well to satisfy the table.

To finish we select the Artisan Cheese Board which consists of three Cheeses, Fresh Figs, Walnuts and Bruschettini. A fine way to conclude our dining experience at NOÉPE.

Our only criticism is that that during our dining experience we did encounter a lot of flies on the outdoor terrace and we did ask for a candle to try and keep them away. Another point to highlight is that our entire order was served at once, meaning that we had to rush through our food to ensure it did not sit on the table for too long. Pacing the ordered items would have been a better approach.

Overall NOÉPE at Park Hyatt Dubai is a great al fresco dining destination, the location, and the scenery easily make this venue standout. The food was enjoyable, and the service was swift and courteous.
