Michelin Chef Tomás Gormley Comes To Dubai

The youngest Michelin Chef in Scotland, Tomás Gormley, co-owner and joint Chef Director of Heron, Edinburgh, Scotland has been announced as the next chef to take over Qwerty this June 21st and 22nd 2023, with two different menu offerings for guests to enjoy.

Themed “The Best of British with a Michelin Twist,” the Chef will also add to the soon to launch “Qwerty Best of British Summer Program” with his Michelin touches set to elevate the current offering in an ongoing revamp of the well-known haunt. The guest chef will also take part in a special ladies’ night which includes two hours of drinks.

Tomás Gormley has an impressive background working across some of the UK’s best-loved restaurants including (the now closed) Le Roi Fou, two-star Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles, and 21212 when it held its Michelin star. As head chef at The Lookout by The Gardener’s Cottage, Tomás was one of six UK chefs named ‘one to watch’ at The Staff Canteen Awards 2020.

Now, Tomas and his restaurant partner, Sam Yorke, are the youngest chefs in Scotland to have received a Michelin star with their restaurant, Heron. Tomás’ collaboration with Qwerty will look to bring his relaxed fine dining a la carte concept, described as farm to table, with a passion for using local produce.

Qwerty is offering a face lift to its ladies night, as well as providing a deal for the gents. With any main course purchased, ladies get 2 hours of selected beverages included, as well as a complementary amuse bouche tasting menu, exclusively curated by the Michelin guest Chef Tomás. For AED 159, men will be able to enjoy 2 drinks and main course, with two special main dishes from the Michelin Chef being placed on the menu for the day on offer.

Enjoy a 4-course Michelin inspired set menu paired with specially curated cocktails for the evening. The dining experience includes Chef Tomás’ famous Beef Wellington, with the menu themed as “A Night with the Best of British.”
