Amazonian cuisine is gaining international recognition for its vibrant flavours, ever evolving textures and novel ingredients. The Amazon’s forests, lands and waters provide diverse cornucopia of food and elements which have consequently been transferred into gastronomic pleasure.
In honour of Earth Month 2019, Mama Zonia are not only introducing some new dishes to the menu but will be encouraging guests to do things a little ‘more green’.
The latest selection of fresh dishes include the Yuzu Ponzu watermelon creation which comes in an avocado sauce topped with puffed quinoa, boasting its own eccentric flavor profile.
In true South American style guests will open their taste-buds to a selection of trendy tapas plates that are ideal for sharing amongst couples or groups of friends. The Black Widow Spider (Crab) Taco, curried Frogs Legs, Chimichurri Grilled Octopus and Vegetarian Jungle Tofu Curry are undoubtedly a variety of dishes that will ensure diners are left pining for more from this unusual and euphoric menu.
Mama Zonia are offering guests 20% off all Friday Brunch bookings for the month of April 2019 to highlight Earth Month and the fact that 20% of all the planets Oxygen is generated by the rainforest itself.
If that’s not enough, guests can also sip on a limited edition green ‘Sabai Jai’ beverages- bursting with refreshing tropical flavours from which 10% of all proceeds will be donated to The Rainforest Foundation; a platform to secure safety and training to the local indigenous communities. The foundation directly invests in indigenous communities, connecting people who are deeply motivated to conserve their ancestral lands with the tools, training, and resources necessary to protect their rainforests.
