L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is delighted to announce its imminent arrival in the heart of the metropolitan DIFC. The exciting ‘L’Atelier’ concept represents the next era in the Joël Robuchon story, which currently operates venues in 12 cities across the globe, from New York to Paris and Hong Kong. The spirit of L’Atelier will reflect Robuchon’s cuisine, whilst confidently carrying it forward to welcome a new generation of sophisticated diners in a very casual ambience.
L’Atelier will offer the conviviality of the bar and the intimacy of the table, creating an atmosphere that is refined yet informal. The Dubai space embraces a buzzy, open-plan main dining room floor, a bar area and an expansive outdoor terrace, in a central spot within one of the most vibrant financial districts in the world. Diners will discover a distinctive Joël Robuchon style, focused on the brand’s signature red and black, but elevated with touches of brass and metallic for a modern twist.
The philosophy of the concept revolves around the restaurant’s open kitchen concept, infusing the space with a sense of dynamic energy. Designed by acclaimed Gatserelia Design studio, the two kitchen areas showcase dishes being meticulously crafted while chefs transform the finest ingredients into exquisite creations, ensuring the artistry of dishes are the essence of L’Atelier’s experience. The kitchen will be presided over by Robuchon’s protegee; Executive Chef Axel Manes, one of the youngest and most creative chefs to have received a Michelin star, who trained under his mentor for many years. Robuchon has mentored several famous chefs, including Gordon Ramsey and Michael Caines.
Axel Manes will focus on healthy and seasonal ingredients, selected from over 100 different producers, favouring dishes with only a few elements, that allow the key ingredients to shine. Manes’ authentic cuisine will set the tone for a 2.0 version of Joel Robuchon’s signature dishes, offering the best of French cuisine and the finest of fine dining in a refined yet informal atmosphere. Highlights include a selection of Robuchon’s signature dishes, that will find new fans in Dubai, including Crispy Poached Egg with Caviar, Truffle Pizza, Dover Sole à La Plancha, and a delicious selection of fish as well as vegetarian Ceviches and Carpaccios – all prepared in front of the guests. A business lunch option will also be available from Sunday to Thursday, offering the best quality products in a lighter edit of dishes that are perfectly tailored for daytime dining at a very attractive price of AED 129 for a three-course menu.
