Laguna Beach Taverna & Lounge, Sofitel Dubai The Palm’s new beach destination concept has arrived! The launch follows the successful opening of Laguna Lounge earlier this year, a lively Mediterranean-inspired boho-chic venue with DJ tower, and luxury private cabanas. The revamped venue sees the unveiling of Laguna Beach Taverna, a rustic-luxe dining experience offering fresh and flavourful Greek-Mediterranean cuisine. Deluxe day beds have also been added to the beachfront offering stunning views of Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, elevating the venue to a day to night destination and perfect for a sophisticated crowd who enjoy an epicurean lifestyle.

Laguna Beach Taverna has been carefully designed to create a sensory experience, with the structure connecting beautifully to its beachfront setting and harmoniously complementing its natural surroundings. The open-air restaurant embodies the sun-soaked allure of the Mediterranean – inviting, full of character and utterly timeless.
The modern boho interior emphasises on natural elements, rugged wooden furniture and hefty timbers are paired with rustic yet elegant furnishings to give a refined sense of style. Hand-loomed jute rugs adorn the sand floor, delicate rattan pendants hang from the rafters, driftwood sculptures decorate the tables, and artisan terra cotta planters hold lush green foliage. Fabrics are crisp and clean, with a focus on natural fibers in sun bleached whites and sandy beige tones. In the main dining area flowing drapes create an animated ceiling, with the canopy moving in sync with the wind to create ripples that resemble waves on the beach.

The menu designed by Chef de Cuisine, Juan Vasquez, captures the vibrancy of Greek-Mediterranean cuisine, with familiar flavours enhanced by a worldly charm. Dishes celebrate the best of land and sea, showcasing fresh seasonal cooking and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Guests will be able to choose their catch of the day from the seafood display, with daily fresh local and international options.
Highlight dishes include Trio of Lobster, Salmon, Sea Bass Carpaccio (with lemon oil & finger lime), Canadian Lobster Linguini (tomato sauce, garlic, white wine), Italian Gambero Rosso (garlic, spinach, beef chorizo), Grilled Alaskan King Crab Legs (lemon, parsley, Espelette pepper), Côte De Boeuf (1kg Australian MB5+, black pepper jus, grilled vegetables, roasted garlic, braised shallots). After dinner guests will have a tempting array of desserts to choose from, such as Basque Burnt Cheesecake (with preserved blackberries), Greek Bougatsa (filo pastry, local honey, Seville orange custard), and Olive Oil Lemon Cake (with lemon zest & whipped ricotta cream).

The Mediterranean concept is echoed in the creative beverage menu, with a host of seasonal mixers and mocktails. Signature beverages include Honey Beet, Turmeric Pearl, Pawpaw Orange to name a few.
