An exciting
and wonderfully vibrant new addition has landed in Dubai with the launch of
Kulture House, located on Jumeirah Beach Road. Kulture House is a home grown,
multi-space venue housing an artisanal café, concept store and art pop up
featuring the work of handpicked local artists. In addition, Abu Dhabi’s
favorite florist- Fleurology, will now have a Dubai home in Kulture House.
Above all, a sense of community is very much the cornerstone of the Kulture
House ethos.
From the
moment you walk through the intricately tiled entrance flanked by a beautiful, courtyard
dining space to the renovated Jumeirah villa, it is apparent that this is no
ordinary café. The interior of the property is vibrant and alive with color, drawing
inspiration from every corner of the globe with many of the world’s cultures
represented and epitomized in this chic space where art reigns supreme.
From the
modern take on an Arabic majlis to the life-size Russian doll, Kulture House will
prove a delightful assault on the senses. As they wander the venue, visitors
can expect to be taken on a journey through each continent. Countries including
the UAE, Peru, Kenya, Egypt, Cuba, Morocco, Azerbaijan and Italy are all
represented in the design aspects of the property, with each piece of furniture
individually commissioned to give a truly unique experience….at Kulture House,
it’s all about the details.
Kulture House
was born out of the founder’s love for travel and cultural immersion. Whilst
travelling, it became clear that cultures everywhere merge and blend
beautifully into one another. Whether it be the spices used in food, the use of
textiles, pattern and colour or the daily traditions that weave through each. There
is much more that unites, than divides us and thus Kulture House offers a
delicious cohesion.
Very much in
alignment with 2019 being the Year of Tolerance, Kulture House was
conceptualized, offering a space where creativity and most importantly community
is nurtured and encouraged. The property
is large, light and bright with comfortable seating giving guests an easy-going
work space as they enjoy the specialty coffee and delicious food on offer.
The menu was
created with honesty and wholesomeness in mind, like the venue itself the food
is welcoming, quirky, diverse and delicious.
Breakfast dishes include Jalapeno Eggs Benedict, Mezzeh Platter with Meloui Bread, Avocado on Toast and Acai Bowls. The lunch/dinner menu serves up dishes with a difference- Breaded Olives, Salmon Fish Fingers and Weekend in Capri- Linguine Pasta, Sundried Tomatoes and Crispy Cheese.
Dessert is not to be missed in Kulture House- the Persian Nights Rice Pudding is infused with saffron and topped with pistachio brittle. This is a rustic and nostalgic dish, that warms the soul while the Fried Oreos are a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
Another
exciting facet of Kulture House is the retail experience on offer complimenting
the cultural fusion of the café. The collection is an eclectic mix of mostly
fair-trade items sourced from around the world, each piece hand selected with a
story behind the objects. The venue believes in supporting entrepreneurship and
local artists offering a space where their work can be showcased.
