Hutong Introduces ‘The Flaming Duck’

Hutong, the contemporary Northern Chinese restaurant and bar located in the DIFC, is kicking off the new year with a new addition to its already highly commended dinner menu with the introduction of the Flaming Duck.

A sensational twist on their signature Peking Duck, praised by diners internationally for its impeccable taste and theatrical table-side carving, the Flaming Duck is a revelation to the senses and a must-try gastronomical experience as never before seen in Dubai.

The duck is carefully prepared for 24 hours using a traditional recipe said to have been developed over one hundred years ago for the Emperor, before being flamed tableside by Chef. Flaming the duck elevates the taste with enriched flavours and smoky undertones, while the meat remains moist and tender. The process also tightens the skin making it crispier while bringing out its aroma so that each bite is a striking burst of flavour and texture, irresistible to any palate. The duck is then sliced and wrapped in a freshly steamed pancake with a hint of plum sauce and the mild crunch of thinly sliced cucumber and spring onion.

To elevate the experience further, Chef recommends pairing this dish with Hutong’s signature mocktail Comfortably Fiery, with lime juice, chili and honey syrup for a perfectly balanced taste. Diners can experience the new dish over dinner at Hutong with friends or family, and enjoy a glamorous evening in the amplified ambiance accompanied by dynamic beats from resident DJ Ivan Minuti.
