Experience An Authentic French Sunday Lunch

Habtoor Palace Dubai unveils an elegantly new Sunday Lunch À La Française. A tasting menu curated by Executive Sous Chef Deniz Katrançi and to be shared at its signature restaurant BQ French Kitchen and Bar.

The brand-new Sunday Lunch – Good Goût de France, reflects elegance and a love for gastronomy, all what France has been renowned for. In this dining experience, local and agricultural products are the stars of the table. Fresh UAE grown produce arrives within the day and secures the noble quality of natural taste and texture. The experience also showcases specially imported French terroir products, such as Foie Gras or Escargots prepared a la minute at some of live cooking engulfing the air with that divine scent of deliciousness.

As guests enter through the grand entrance of Habtoor Palace Dubai, to the first floor and enter BQ French Kitchen in style, a welcome beverage is served as a welcome mixer and accompanied by scrumptious pass around canapes. To add to the ambience, Maria, Habtoor Palace Dubai’s resident vocalist entertains guests with a selection of classic and romantic tunes.

Sophisticatedly dressed servers in blanc-bleu uniforms with beret hats reminiscent of French Artisans escort guests to their tables, covered in exquisite French designed tablecloths and cutlery to remind them of a chic dining occasion at Champs-Élysées. Freshly sourdough baguettes welcome the guests as soon as they take a seat to the table with their own personal attendant to explain the concept of dining À la Française.

Starting off the lunch with sharing appetizers to be served at the table including French classics such as Foie Gras terrine, baked fresh fig chutney brioche bread, Oak Smoked Salmon served with White asparagus, Horseradish, Ikura and Saffron Blinis and fresh Burrata alongside Candy tomatoes, Basil Pesto and Aged Balsamic.

Live stations to start steaming away with Lobster Bisque Puréed and strained for a fine smooth result served with Gruyère twist. Oysters are served as per guests’ preference with the classic French Mignonette sauce. A divine Raw Steak Tartare is a must when served with homemade chips.

A fresh Homemade crispy Caesar Salad with Anchovies and shaved Parmesan cheese offers a light bite whilst the Escargot Burgundy Snails prepared with garlic and parsley butter are truly indulgent. Don’t miss Northern French specialty Moules A La Crème made with mussels, white vine, celery sticks and shallots.

The mouth-watering main course selection includes dishes from all around French Provinces – while the chefs come to the tables with a selection of cheese on wheels.

Highlights of the day include Duck Confit, a classic French preparation that produces silky, tender meat, slow cooked it offers a melt in the mouth moment and Blanquette de Veau a delicious veal stew, simmered in white stock and served in sauce velouté enriched with cream and egg. One of the most popular dishes in France.

End the reminiscence of France with a sweet delight – enjoy classical French delectable treats from Habtoor Palace Dubai’s pastry Chef, such as Tarte Tatin, a French delicacy apple pie that is caramelized in butter and sugar before the tart is baked, and the famous Choux A La Crème, a cream filled puff pastry baked to perfection. A bottle of French vine will be offered complimentary to every two paying guests.

Every Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at BQ French Kitchen and Bar, Habtoor Palace Dubai. Priced at AED 450 per person. 1 bottle of French vine for every 2 paying guests.
