At the heart of Cala Vista is Head Chef Luca Crostelli, a culinary maestro with over 14 years of experience. Son of the award-winning Chef Beatrice Segoni of Pierchic, Luca stays true to his Italian roots. He crafts a menu bursting with nostalgic flavours and reimagined classics, leaving guests craving more with every bite.

Start your Italian journey with shared plates like Carpaccio Di Manzo, Tagliere Cala Vista, Crudo Di Orata, and Fritto Misto. For pizza lovers, there’s an enticing range of wood-fired options, including La Burrata, La Picante, and La Carpaccio Di Manzo—all available with gluten-free dough.

We start with the Carpaccio Di Manzo, AED 120, beef striploin, rocket, parmesan, basil pesto and mustard mayonnaise. Alongside the Polpo E Peperoni, AED 120, a roasted octopus, capsicum finished with an Amalfi lemon cream. Both are a sensational start to our dining experience; however, the Octopus is tremendous. With light smoky tones our knife effortlessly cuts through the octopus, offering mouthfuls of bliss.

As for the mains, guests are invited to indulge in specialty homemade pasta like Gnudi Ricotta E Spinaci, Tortelloni Alla Norma, Chitarrine All’astice, and Tagliolini Al Limone. Don’t miss the signature dishes: perfectly cooked Dentice Alla Griglia, Polpette Della Nonna, and Orecchio Di Elefante. I opt for the Tortelloni Alla Norma, AED 95, ricotta ravioli, eggplant with lush helpings of tomato sauce. My dining companion selects the Tagliata Di Manzo AED 295, grilled angus beef tenderloin, rocket cherry tomato salad finished with parmesan and a side of Roast Potatoes, AED 45. Overall, both of the mains are extremely well done, however I feel that a light pasta dish sat next to the ocean is perfection.

Leave room for dessert! We were enchanted by the Il Limone, AED 65, a tantalizing concoction of Amalfi lemon sorbet, lemon cream, crumble, and basil jelly. And the showstopper? The signature Tiramisu, AED 60, touted to be the best in the city a bigger portion is available for those wishing to share for AED 110.
