The Park Bar and Grill at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas has always provided guests with an exceptional experience, this season the award-winning restaurant has announced a collection of bespoke dining experiences. Guest can now expect to experience an interactive journey of informal dining that surpasses the everyday with a uniquely gastronomical experience.
Tonight we are trying the Bespoke Experience, chefs will create four courses based on the freshest produce. First to arrive is a platter of delicious seafood, presented on a bed of seaweed it emphasizes the freshness of the dish. We enjoy a selection of Belon Oyster from Prat-Ar-Coum France and Tuna Tartare with avocado, mango and lime. The oysters are delectable, plump and creamy with a slight crunch, whilst the Tuna Tartare ticks all the right boxes, the mango gives it a unique palatable taste.
Next, I enjoy the Green Pea Soup with fresh ricotta cheese, mandarin, mint and pine nuts. The soup is delightful, its dark green color is elevated by the portion of thick ricotta, the pine nuts add texture whilst the mint gives the dish a refreshing aftertaste. My dining companion enjoys the Chicken Caesar Salad, made tableside, steamed corn-fed chicken is presented with romaine baby lettuce, chia bread croutons, crispy wagyu slices and cured anchovies. It tastes amazing, the steamed chicken practically flakes at the sight of our fork.
From the seafood selection I sample the Halibut from Scotland, UK, 200g and the Whole Lobster from Canada, 600-800g served with saffron aioli, vierge sauce and black garlic aioli. I also sample the grilled Scallops with crispy kale, an intriguing dish. The seafood is delicious and the lobster is particularly exceptional.
From the grill menu my dining companion enjoys a sample of prime cuts, Prime Angus, Striploin Bone-In, sourced from greater Omaha, Nebraska, USA and the Wagyu Tenderloin mg 7/8 sourced from Mulwarra, Victoria, Australia. Both dishes are plated tableside, it’s a wonderful opportunity to interact with the chefs, who are more than happy to discuss this evenings menu so far.
The steaks are sublime, the Wagyu Tenderloin is our favorite and one that we would happily recommend.
Before our evening comes to an end the culinary team at The Park Bar and Grill have one more surprise in store for us, dessert. There is no menu, the pastry chef makes a fresh batch of desserts every day before service. This is presented on a dessert trolley and varies daily.
Overall we would highly recommend the Bespoke Experience at The Park Bar and Grill. The quality of food is spectacular and the quantity of the portions are more than generous. What makes this experience so different is the interactivity of the culinary team. The team swiftly create beautiful dish tableside adding an element of theater to your dining experience. Worth mentioning is that the team are exceptionally well trained and they never overstay their welcome or intrude on our evening, leaving us with nothing but fond memories of our bespoke dining experience.
